RJ Heim, singer with the Highlights for over a decade, is setting sail (actually a plane) for Portugal in the next few weeks. He and his partner, Bailey are moving there so she can pursue her Masters degree in Marine Biology. RJ has always wanted an international adventure so he’s thrilled to join in! He’ll be leaving his work with Major League Baseball and take on remote work as a code developer from Portugal.  If you use the Ball Park app for baseball, that’s his creation with MLB.

RJ has been a singer all his life.  He toured with the popular Kids from Wisconsin – a sing-dance group with the Wisconsin State Fair and was in the UW Madhatters 4 years at the UW Madison where he earned his degrees in Computer Science and Chemistry.  He’s loved by Highlights fans for his versions of Duke of Earl, Moon Dance, We are the Champions, When I was her man and many many more!  Your last chance to see him is Friday, July 29 at the VFW on Cottage Grove Rd.  And…hopefully maybe on a visit back home in the future!

After some terrific times at Buck and Honey’s in Sun Prairie this Saturday night you can see Marcy and the Highlights at Buck and Honey’s in Waunakee!  The fun begins at 5:30 pm on the patio!  Can’t wait!

PS…THANK YOU for making our Wedding Anniversary SO Special at the Hop Haus. Great to see so many of our dear friends and dancers!

Tuesday is CruiseDay organizers Ralph and Mary Cornell announced Marcy and The Highlights will be performing Tuesday July 5th at the ALL STOP Travel Plaza for Tuesday is CruiseDay.

In addition to the great classic rock, country and R & B music, of the Highlights show, we will be honoring the July 4th holiday with the National Anthem, God Bless the USA and God Bless America in the show.

In addition, take in over 200 classic cars at one of the biggest shows in the area.

Plan now to be there, 6-8 pm for great food, new dancing space, and a fun time celebrating our great country and good friends.

It sure is fun at Buck and Honey’s!  Last night, Oct 2nd, we had both the Sun Prairie High School Homecoming Dance kids with us and also the Badgers from the Not-So-Hot Badger game.  We danced and did Team Drinks and enjoyed the sunset from the outside Patio!

ONE MORE SHOW!  Join us Oct 30th for our last Patio show of the season!  5:30-8:00 pm!

Dress up or just come as you are (that may be scary enough!)

Join Marcy and Ken as they celebrate 30 years of marriage and singing together!  We’ll be playing at the Hop Haus in Fitchburg SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 5th from 3-6 pm with our two sons, RJ Heim on vocals and David Heim on Keyboards.  Fun place, great food and of course great beer!  

Even with chilly temperatures, we had a great time at Pettit’s Lakeview Bar. Some of the BEST FOOD anywhere, terrific staff and FUN FUN FUN people. Don’t forget the beautiful sunsets over the lake – this place is RIGHT ON THE WATER!
