E-I-E-I-O!
Wow! Thanks Portage, for another GREAT year celebrating summer, friendship, music and, of course, PIES!
Randy and Bob enjoy pie on break. Each Wednesday concert features a local non-profit and the proceeds help these organizations do their good work in the community. This concert we benefitted the “Living With Cancer Support Group.” And Randy performed a Roy Orbison TRIPLE SPIN! Tremendous! Bob Milan will be back in Portage with his Steel Drum show, Bahama Bob. Don’t miss it!
David celebrated his second show as the keyboard player for “Marcy and the Highlights.” He’s adding more and more to the show every time. Ok, so I AM his mom….but really – what a talent!
But nothing would happen without the tremendous leadership of Carmen Griffith of the Columbia County Visitors Bureau. She, and her entire family, get into the project of setting up the concerts and ensuring everyone has a great time. Thanks also to the VFW. Commander Jeremy held the drawing, but also shared his triplets to lend “Twinkle, twinkle little star” to the closing song line-up. Precious!
We had a terrific crowd and without all of you doing the Lawnchair Chicken Dance…there were be no summer JOY! THANK YOU!!
