March 2 Sunday Dance Mardi Gras Party! VFW Lakeside

Mardi Gras 2

Mardi Gras is French for ” FAT TUESDAY”  – that is, the final day before the we are penitent in Lent that begins on Ash Wednesday.  While Mardi Gras has no official status in the Catholic Church, it is a custom in many Catholic countries to mark the day with parties and feasting, in particular eating those foods from which one will NOT EAT during Lent.

I’ve been in New Orleans to celebrate Mardi Gras a few times – CRAZY.  The best parts?  MUSIC AND CONTINUED DANCING!!!  And party colors….gold, purple and green.  And loads and loads of feathers and beads and lavish costumes.

So think gaudy and festive and sexy and head to the SUNDAY DANCE THIS SUNDAY NIGHT TO boogie down!

The VFW # 1318 is located at 133 East Lakeside Street, just off John Nolan Drive. They have a big parking lot and a full bar will be available just across the hall from the banquet room.  A very central and easily accessed location! Here is map:   Feel free to call Becci with any questions… 608-712-5483.

See you then!
