Tom Waselchuk, guitarist for the Highlights, recently produced a music video of a wonderful holiday song composed in 1956 by Dan Schuffman, who happens to be Tom’s father-in-law. The song is called Christmas Is Love and Dan wrote it when he was working as a director and writer at ABC TV in Chicago. The song was never marketed back then, but when Tom heard the song a few years ago, he knew it was something special. Christmas Is Love has a terrific melody and lyrics that paint an idyllic scene of Currier & Ives imagery. The song is the equal, in our opinion, of Mel Torme’s The Christmas Song.
